Sally Is Short For Sarah Anne: (2009)
Materials: Ash, Steel, Plastiline clay
Dimensions: 72″ x 60″ x 20″
The original idea for this installation involved my wife, Sally, sitting on a stool in the middle of the two busts during the show. But as the portrait show I was in at the time approached, I didn’t have time to age one of the busts to depict Sally as an elderly woman. I had decided to get one to look like her in the present in order to help with the aging process. Hopefully I will be able to show this piece again with a young Sally, the actual Sally, and an elderly Sally.
